
EARLY BIRD “A”Sustainable and Conservation Based DevelopmentSustainable and conservation based development, known as “green development”, involves the application of practical, workable, and economically viable options to conventional building and development practices such as conservation site planning, green space conservation, density considerations, green building techniques, and energy conservation. This excellent course includes discussions of the central topics relating to green development including the emerging issue of controlling greenhouse gas emissions. Certification programs (LEED, Energy Star, Florida Green Building Coalition) will be presented as well as the potential effects of emerging federal and state legislative policy initiatives. Course designed for extensive audience participation. Come prepared to listen, learn and participate!
